Luego draws on influences as far ranging as acts like the Beatles and Bob Dylan to Wilco and Blind Melon, Luego likes to think what they are doing is something so ordinary that it can't possibly be seen as so. They make use of disparate styles like folk, reggae, pop, and indie rock in combination with both deeply honest and surrealistically wide-eyed lyricism. By pulling these things among countless others out of the creative currents that pass them by, Luego has generated its own infectious sound which is as purely fun as it is philosophically searching.
Seeing music as a renewal of the eternal, ever-repeating ritual of rhythmic communication is Luego's business. And so, with that in mind, they receive, they filter and they create. And what comes of it is music that is enveloping without being overwhelming - something that in our busy, specificity-driven times, feels more like a true vacation than anything else.
